For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a retail buyer, my Mother owned a wedding dress boutique and that was where my love affair with product began. Over the years I have been lucky enough to work for several large retail companies, selling in stores and online in both the UK and across the globe. I have spent years travelling for work visiting factories, trade shows and checking out the competition in cities like New York, Paris, Milan, Istanbul, Delhi, Dhaka and Hong Kong. So in 2010 when I was asked to move to Shanghai to launch a clothing range, I knew it would be an amazing adventure for me and my 3 little boys.

When we returned to the UK my life took another interesting turn, after years of buying ladies and mens fashion I was asked to head up the kids and baby department and the fun really began! It took me a little time to get used to glitter and unicorns as my world was definitely more Transformers and rugby balls but I worked with an amazing team and the buyers soon opened my  eyes to the limitless fun you can have with baby and kids clothing.

My last corporate role was looking after the clothing for a specialist maternity, baby and kids wear retailer. I worked really closely with franchise partners across the globe who were hungry to buy British designed and made products. I also spent a lot of my time meeting fantastic new brands who were desperate to get their products in front of retail buyers but they just couldn’t manage the payment terms and trialling restrictions of big retailers.

But after so many years in the corporate world I realised I was ready to start my own business and use all the specialist knowledge I had accumulated from large scale retail to help smaller businesses who want to grow.
